On 7^th December 2021, HSPPA was awarded with the Certificate for the development and implementation of Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015, in force for 3 years, thus constituting the first Independent Authority, and also the first public entity of the central administration in Greece, moving towards the direction of adopting a management and operation model, which is due to bring about strategic and functional improvements within the Authority, while at the same time, and most importantly, is due to contribute, through these improvements and their results, to the provision of high quality services to the rest of the public entities and economic operators, thus leading to better results both for the economy and the market in general, taking into account the standard as well as the unpredictable and increasing challenges and developments in the field of public procurement, on more than one levels.

During the 5th Annual Meeting of the Public-Private Partnership Working Party (WP-PPP), under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), held in Geneva on 29-30 November 2021, Greece, through the President of HSPPA Mr. G. Katapodis, achieved the unanimous election of the only President (Chair) in the Presidency of the above-mentioned Group, in which to date has held the position of Co-chair together with the representatives of the USA and Japan.

This success is considered extremely important, on the one hand due to the special importance of the subject negotiated by the Group, on the other hand due to the countries represented, namely the USA and Japan (G-7 and G-20 members), France (member of EU, G-7 and G-20), Belgium (EU), and Russia and Turkey (G-20 members).

In order to achieve the highest level of quality and effectiveness in the exercise of its duties and responsibilities, HSPPA has created a wide network of targeted collaborations with other entities, both domestic and international. HSPPA is one of the most important pillars in the field of public procurement in Greece, with a multi-level contribution, from the formation of the national strategy and policy, the coordination and the communication with the European Commission, to the day-to-day help to the contracting authorities, the streamlining of the PP procedures, the opinion-giving, and the auditing and monitoring of the field.

HSPPA has developed a wide range of actions and partnerships for the efficient and innovative accomplishment of its purpose, among others in the field of integrity and transparency.

 Indicatively, HSPPA has obtained the Quality ISO 9001 and is in the final stage of obtaining the Anti-bribery ISO 37001.

The Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority and the Administrative Judges Association organized in 21-23 November 2019 an International Conference with the title: “Public Procurement: crucial issues and new developments”, under the auspices of His Excellence the President of the Hellenic Republic.

The Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority participated in the annual International Conference "2019 Public Procurement Week" organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, from Tuesday 22 to Friday 25 October 2019.

The Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority participated with its Vice President, Mr. Adam Karaglanis, in the Conference organized by the Center for European Constitutional Law - Themistoklis and Dimitrios Tsatsos Foundation, in collaboration with the Office of the National Rapporteur for the Combating Human Trafficking (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), on preventing and combating human trafficking in public and private supply chains through the application of practical tools.

In the beginning of October, on the occasion of the US Secretary of State's visit to Greece, the Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority through its President, Mr. George Katapodis and the Heads of Directorates Mrs. Mina Kalogridou and Katerina Kyriazi, participated on the multidisciplinary and high-level Strategic Dialogue between Greece and the United States of America.

Building on their cooperation to date, the Chairman of Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority Dr. George Katapodis and the Chairman of Hellenic Competition Commission Dr. Ioannis Lianos signed a cooperation protocol on 9 October 2019, having already identified a range of joint actions and synergies for the benefit of the society and the economy.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on September 27, 2019, in Nicosia, between the Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority and the General Accounting Office of the Republic of Cyprus, as the competent authorities of Greece and Cyprus respectively.

On 23-09-2019, the President of the Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority, Mr. George Katapodis, and the Governor of the Independent Authority of Public Revenue, Mr. George Pitsilis, signed a Protocol of Cooperation between the two Independent Authorities on internal audit issues.

On 18.09.2019, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the "Yiannos Kranidiotis" Hall, an event was held for the launch of the cooperation of the Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), with the support of the EU Structural Reform Support Office (SRSS), in the presence of the Secretaries-General of Justice and Human Rights, Information Systems, Health Services and Internal Affairs and Organization, government officials, as well as representatives of stakeholders and key contracting authorities such as Attica Prefecture and Municipalities of Athens and Pireas. Also present were the Presidents of SEGM, Costas Kallergis, STEAT, George Syrianos, SATE, George Vlachos, and PEDMIEDE, George Benekos.

On September 10, 2019, at the Ministry of Energy & Environment, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority and the Ministry was signed, for the exchange of data and know-how on public procurement matters in the field of Spatial Planning and the Urban Environment.

On Monday, 09/09/2019, a visit of a Delegation of the Public Procurement Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina (study visit) took place at the premises of the Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority.

On September 4, 2019, at the premises of the Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Authority and the non-profit organization "Transparency International Greece", on combating corruption in the field of public procurement.

On 21.06.2019 a Single Market Forum was held in Bucharest with the participation of the Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority, at the invitation of the European Commission (DG Grow). HSPPA was represented by its Vice President, Mr. Adam Karaglanis, its Legal Adviser, Mr. George Trantas, and the Head of the Coordination Directorate, Mrs. Catherine Kyriazi.

On 14.06.2019 the Training Institute (INEP) of the National Center for Public Administration and Local-Government (EKDDA), in collaboration with the General Secretariat for Trade and Consumer Protection of the Ministry of Economy and Development and with the participation of HSPPA, organized a Workshop on "Public Innovation Contracts - Tools and Prospects".

By virtue of num. 27.2.2019C (2019) 1542 Decision of the European Commission, the financing by SRSS of the project "Reinforcement of the Greek Public Procurement System", where OECD is the contractor and HSPPA the sole beneficiary, was approved.
