A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on September 27, 2019, in Nicosia, between the Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority and the General Accounting Office of the Republic of Cyprus, as the competent authorities of Greece and Cyprus respectively.

The main objective of the cooperation is to build on the experience of the two Authorities for the benefit of both the society and the economy of the two States, as well as to continuously improve the institutional framework that defines the responsibilities, actions and functions of the two Authorities.

Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening existing public procurement cooperation on European Union law and national law, as well as on the exchange of know-how on issues such as integrity standards, codes of conduct, good governance and professionalization.
