On September 10, 2019, at the Ministry of Energy & Environment, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority and the Ministry was signed, for the exchange of data and know-how on public procurement matters in the field of Spatial Planning and the Urban Environment.

Particular emphasis was given to strengthening existing co-operation, to make more effective use of the new institutional framework for public procurement, to better implement the principles of good governance by providing documentation, as well as to promote national strategy and professionalization of public procurement.

The main objective of both is to defend the public interest and to develop the public procurement system for the benefit of the sustainable development of space and the national economy in general.
