On September 4, 2019, at the premises of the Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Authority and the non-profit organization "Transparency International Greece", on combating corruption in the field of public procurement.

Specifically, this cooperation consists of providing to HSPPA free whistleblowing electronic platform - complaint-handling mechanism developed by ITG as part of its European Union-funded program “Widely Expanding Anonymous Tipping Technology Deployment, Operation and Trustworthiness to Combat Corruption in Eastern and Southern Europe”, in collaboration with similar organizations in other EU countries. At the same time, ITG will provide know-how across a range of relevant topics.

With this cooperation, HSPPA becomes the first public authority in Greece to acquire an integrated electronic whistleblowing mechanism, taking a decisive step towards combating corruption and enhancing transparency in public procurement.

Complaints will be received and handled by the Authority, taking every care for the confidential, secure and effective operation of the mechanism, within the framework of existing personal data legislation.
